Autorenporträt
Peggy Lin was born in Taiwan and emigrated to Canada when she was a year old. In 1969, she graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BA from the Department of English. In 1973, she went to Beijing, China where she studied and then worked for almost a decade, becoming a citizen of the People's Republic of China in 1978. In 1984, she went to England where she completed her M.A. degree in Victorian Studies at the University of Keele in 1986. From there, she went on to the University of Maryland, College Park and received her Ph.D. in 1994 from the Department of English.
