Autorenporträt
The author is an immigrant from the island of Jamaica West Indies. At an early age, she was an avid reader which surprised her mother, now a retired teacher. She enjoyed sitting with her dad and reading the newspaper and novels he enjoyed reading. In Jamaica, she was also exposed to Pantomime, which was one of the ways the performers would enlighten the public while entertaining them. This inspired her to write short stories, poems and skits. Hence her book Chirper in Chief.
