Chris Dawes is an Australian rules footballer currently playing for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League. Drafted with the 28th selection in the 2006 AFL Draft from Brighton Grammar School, Dawes is a strongly built forward who missed the majority of 2007 due to a knee injury after showing strong impression with the Magpies' then VFL affiliate Williamstown. Dawes was a part of the Collingwood team that made AFL history with a pre-season game against the Adelaide Crows which was played in Dubai. Chris Dawes made his official debut for Collingwood in the 2008 season. His first game was a win against the in-form St Kilda in round 19, 2008.
