While Christian teaching encourages the pursuit of spiritual maturity, American Christianity often operates off the assumption that spiritual growth is entirely subjective. This view forgoes a biblical and academic perspective of effective spiritual growth steps. In contrast, a clarified pathway to spiritual maturity may prove especially helpful from a Gen Z perspective, which values time and guidance. This research seeks to explore 18-27-year-old Gen Z perceptions around spiritual growth to help capture their perceptions and the language they use to describe spiritual maturity.
