Focused on the linguistic investigation of Christian terminology, while confronting the popular Christian mentality with the power grab and the way this terminology is reflected in the public discourse and in the language of the contemporary Romanian media, our book takes as its starting point the observation that, although the Christian civilization, its precepts, characters and religious symbols have been a source of inspiration for writers, artists, composers, journalists, the Romanian historical and ideological context has not allowed for a discursive analysis of the importance of the field in the cultural life of the community.
