Christianity's Missing Piece depicts a tormented man torn between two identities in conflict, that of a contracts manager at Rockwell international, one of the largest multinational corporations in the field of nuclear weapons, and that of a believing Christian and practicing Catholic. His book describes Siemer's years of spiritual somersaulting as he attempts to reconcile his two identities. We see him as a young Naval airman learning to be an officer and a supposed savior of the Western World In Italy, yet later a seminarian. We watch him as he marries, is hired by Rockwell and moves up through the corporate ranks. We see him witness the devastation and destruction of weapons said-to-be-used as deterrents in Vietnam. We see his life deteriorate as he turns to alcohol to cope with his two irreconcilable truths, until finally he leaves his life of comfort and decides to dedicate his life to Peace.
