In this holiday novelette, Author LaToya Geter introduces Lawrence Reynolds. Lawrence is visiting his uncle, Pastor Daniel Reynolds, and his family for Christmas in Crestview. Lawrence is single and has a history of moving too fast with women, only for the relationships to fail. On Christmas Eve morning, he decides to have breakfast at the West Side Cafe. Not only does the menu catch his attention, but a woman having breakfast with her daughter does. Without thinking about his hasty actions with women, he doesn't waste any time introducing himself. Her warming but limited conversation with him leaves him confused. Women usually give him their phone number after the first interaction, but this doesn't happen with Alexandra Carr. Instead, she leaves the West Side Cafe with his number and an "I'll think about it" response to his Christmas date offer. Lawrence goes to his uncle because Pastor Reynolds knows everyone in Crestview. He has to know Alexandra Carr. Pastor Reynolds doesn't know Alexandra, but First Lady Audrey Reynolds knows her as Alex. Pastor and First Lady Reynolds get earfuls about Lawrence and Alexandra meeting in the West Side Cafe. Memories of their first time meeting there turn them into angels working on the best Christmas gift for Lawrence and Alexandra. Divine connection plus a hasty past leads Lawrence to turn to the one source to reveal if Alexandra is the Christmas gift he deserves.
