Dave Galehouse, a Lexington, Massachusetts native, now resides in Maynard, Massachusetts with his girlfriend Abbey and their two dogs, a Black Lab named Maia and a long-haired German Shepherd named Bea who makes her first character appearance in The Christmas Tree. David published his first book, The Making of a Student-Athlete, a guide for parents and high school athletes on the college athletic recruiting process, in 2002. The Christmas Tree is David's first children's book.
