People in this world face all sorts of difficulties. The truth is that any rough patch can be beat if you work hard enough and have friends to help you. We must learn to be kind to one another and to help those in need. Christopher is just like any other ordinary third-grade student. Chris is happy when he watches cartoons, loves sports, and enjoys pizza at school. However, he also has trouble walking without his forearm crutches, reading as fast as the other kids, and solving math problems. He faces the daily challenge of having cerebral palsy, and he has to learn to work through them with courage and the help of others. Autorenporträt
Collin James Pallissery is a seventeen-year-old student at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in Miami, Florida. He has found a passion for medicine, and he loves to explore new scientific topics. Collin decided to combine his talent for writing with his inquiries about medicine in a way that allows children and their families to read storybooks. He has been involved in the community as a volunteer for Nicklaus Children's Hospital and has worked for approximately five hundred hours at this organization during his high school career. He has been inspired by the happiness and fighting spirit that children can display while in the hospital. Collin loves to help those in need and has found that the best thing we can do as humans is help each other out. Collin has worked across the many areas of the hospital and has become increasingly involved in research regarding special needs conditions. He hopes this book will spread awareness of these conditions that children face across the world, and he wants to show people how these conditions are not setbacks, but rather a way for people to become stronger and overcome challenges.
