Produktbeschreibung
The main purpose of this book was to explore and analyse the stakeholders' perspectives in relation to the longstanding and historic partnership between the churches and the government in Lesotho's education system. The study further identified the prospects and constraints of this partnership arrangement and their implications to educational development in Lesotho. To attain this purpose, the study adopted a multiple method approach by triangulating the various data collection instruments. In its exploration of the stakeholders' perceptions, the study found that the church and state partnership in Lesotho's education is not only asymmetrical one but also have diverse goals and objectives. While the government values the social and economic benefits of the partnership, the churches' priority is anchored on the moral and religious values. The study also found that the on-going power struggle over the management of education was not only undermining the principles of good partnership but also compromising the development of education in Lesotho.
