Jose Luis Mendez Mendez holds a PhD in legal sciences and a Masters in political science from the University of Havana. He is a professor, researcher, diplomat, and writer. Among his most recent works are: Mensajeros de la muerte: Centroamerica la punta visible del iceberg, Los anos del terror, 1974-1976, and Bajo las alas del Condor. He is a member of the Jurist Union in Cuba and the Cuban Society of Philosophical Investigations and Political Sciences.
