Gustavo Rodríguez nació en Lima en 1968. Ha publicado las novelas La risa de tu madre, La semana tiene siete mujeres, Cocinero en su tinta, República de La Papaya, Te escribí mañana y el volumen de relatos Trece mentiras cortas. También ha escrito libros infantiles y juveniles que se leen en escuelas. En Traducciones Peruanas se compendian diez años de artículos suyos publicados en El Comercio de Lima. Ha sido galardonado con el Premio Alfaguara de Novela 2023 por su obra Cien cuyes, y fue finalista del Premio Herralde y del Premio Planeta-Casamérica. Gustavo Rodríguez was born in Lima in 1968. He has published the novels La furia de Aquiles / Achilles' Fury (2001), La risa de tu madre / Your Mother's Laugh (2003), La semana tiene siete mujeres / The Week Has Seven Women (2010), Cocinero en su tinta / Chef in His Sauce (2012), República de La Papaya / Papaya Republic (2016), Te escribí mañana / I Wrote to You Tomorrow (2016), Madrugada / Dawning (2018) and Treinta kilómetros a la medianoche / Thirty Kilometers at Midnight (2022), and the short stories collection Trece mentiras cortas / Thirteen Short Lies (2006). He has also written children's and young adult books that are included in school curriculums. His work Traducciones peruanas / Peruvian Translations (2008) gathers ten years of his articles published in Lima's newspaper "El Comercio". He has been a finalist for the Herralde Award and the Planeta-Casamérica Award.
