Leonardo Depestre Catony has a degree in linguistics and a Master's degree in communication sciences from the University of Havana. He is also the author of de Consideraciones acerca del vocabulario cubano, Cuba en citas, Homenaje a la musica popular cubana, and Viajeros espanoles de las letras, among others. Within the work of this linguist, journalist and publisher, his interest in approaching issues related to the Greater Antilles region.
