Autorenporträt
This is Don's fifth book. His 43-year professional career was split about evenly between teaching and broadcasting, sometimes overlapping. He was a radio news director over the years, including one in New York City. He won a statewide "Best Newscast" award from Associated Press and his staff members and college students have won similar awards for their reporting and writing. He taught radio-TV news writing and reporting at the University of Florida, and his first two books in the 1970's were about broadcast journalism. Don wrote the first edition of this book in 2006 and a Cinco de Mayo novel in 2012. He wrote and produced Cinco de Mayo plays in English and Spanish for elementary schools and organized a battle reenactment on Cinco de Mayo weekend in 2012.
