Alvin Winestock's poems are intended as a family legacy. An engineering physicist, Alvin regards science as an important gateway to the wonders, insights, and joys that we humans crave - but not the only portal. These poems span a broad range of topics, including childhood recollections, family relationships, natural phenomena, and our ties to tradition, and employ both free verse and rhyme.

Autorenporträt
Alvin began publishing poetry in adult literary venues when he was 11, and received an award from an American journal when he was 17. He paused his poetry for 60 years to enjoy the gratifying distractions of family life and a career in science and technology, and resumed it upon his retirement in 2018. This volume reflects Alvin's recollections from childhood onward, memories that have allowed him to shape his poetry from a deeply personal perspective.
