Water is the most valuable natural resource on the planet and its conservation is one of the most important pillars in sustainable development, however, due to multiple anthropogenic activities, its quality and availability has been affected, so it is necessary to urgently implement actions for the treatment and reuse of water. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to present a proposal for a circular economy model involving the treatment of wastewater from small pig farms, through the implementation of a wastewater treatment system based on artificial wetlands. The study included the literature review, the adequacy of the experimental design, as well as the monitoring and operation of the wetland system, and the periodic measurement of pollutants and their analysis in the laboratory (COD, Ammonium, TSS, Total Nitrogen, Total Phosphorus and total phosphorus).total nitrogen, total phosphorus and total coliforms), as well as the statistical analysis of the data obtained.
