Pavel Em nació en 1987 en Partizansk. En 2010, se graduó con honores en el Departamento de Geografía de la Universidad Estatal del Lejano Oriente (Vladivostok). Ese mismo año se le concedió el Premio Presidencial a la Juventud con Talento. Estudiante de posgrado del Instituto de Geografía de la Academia de Ciencias de Rusia, autor de más de 15 artículos científicos.
