In Ciudadanía, Audiencias y Radio Comunitaria, the authors reflect on the difficult path that community radio stations in Mexico have taken to gain recognition of their rights and their efforts to use this medium of communication to build citizenship, despite living at a clear disadvantage with an overwhelming commercial media model that from its inception found its main promoter in the Mexican State. Additionally, it analyzes the impact that computer platforms, the production of new electronic devices, as well as new media consumption habits, have on the media ecosystem.
