Autorenporträt
Terry Taylor is an artist who specializes in unique clay sculpture designs and dimensional clay illustrations for children's and adult publications. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Oswego, then followed her heart to NYC where she began her life-long dream of being an artist. Terry currently lives and works in Westchester County, NY, where she also enjoys teaching art classes to students of all ages. Terry has over 25 years of experience as a designer and illustrator. To make her illustrations, she starts out with a sketch for each piece. Various colors of clay are mixed to give the piece the right hue; then clay is cut out, shaped, and baked. The finished artwork is photographed digitally, then backgrounds and other digital enhancements are added in photoshop. Her clay artwork has a unique look because of her mixed media approach to creating it.
