Ron Howrigon has spent over three and half decades in the healthcare industry. He started at Kaiser Permanente, and spent the next eighteen years working for several of the largest insurance companies in the U.S. He held positions in senior management in a large vertically integrated system and in medical practice management. Since 2004 he has provided consulting support to thousands of physicians across the country. He has seen all aspects of the U.S. healthcare delivery and financing system. Ron was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in economics from Western Michigan University and a Master's in Economics from North Carolina State University. In 2004, he founded Fulcrum Strategies to provide contract negotiation services to physicians across the U.S. The company has grown into offering consulting services in public relations, strategic planning, mergers, and speaking services to physicians, associations, and other related companies. Ron lives in North Carolina with his wife and three children. His oldest son has autism which Ron describes as being the hardest and best thing he has ever done or will ever do. He is active in his community having served on the Board of Directors for the Mariposa School for Autism, and the Miracle League of the Triangle, a baseball league dedicated to providing children with special needs the opportunity to participate in an activity that would otherwise not be available to them. Ron is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Autism Society of North Carolina.
