Miesha Wilson Headen is the winner of a Best Minority Issues Reporting Award from the Greater Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists, a BINC Carla Gray Memorial Scholarship for Emerging Bookseller-Activists, and an Informed Communities grant from the Cleveland Foundation. She is the former mayor of Richmond Heights, OH, where she lives with her husband and two sons. She graduated from Columbia University and Ursuline College. She is also a preacher's kid. Michael Ruhlman has written or coauthored more than twenty-five books of nonfiction, fiction, memoir, and cookbooks, including Boys Themselves and Walk on Water, both set in Cleveland. A native of Shaker Heights, he lives in Providence, RI, and New York City with his wife, the writer Ann Hood.
