Rice is grown in the country under diverse ecosystem like irrigated, rainfed and deep water conditions in three distinct overlapping seasons namely aus, aman and boro. Climatic factors such as temperature, rainfall, atmospheric carbon dioxide, solar radiation are closely link with rice production.
