This book is one of the series that has been well researched. It is a journey that one will never want to miss. It will take you from the challenges of dissemination of Climate Information Services to Africa's Climate Resilience and geospatial dispassion. The future of climate change is hanging in the equilibrium and CIS systems are falling short. African countries collectively have emitted very little of the greenhouse gases that have caused climate change, but are badly affected by climate induced floods, droughts and heatwaves. To withstand some of the most devastating extreme weather events, African countries need to adapt very fast. Despite the advancement in satellite technology, telecommunications and climatology providing real-time, and location-specific climate information, many African countries in the rural areas, don't receive timely CIS due to the technological disconnections. African community-based climate information services are growing in importance as the Earthgets hotter and more climate disasters strike. Setting up advanced CIS that predict climate disasters ahead of time is critical. I believe this book will add value to Africa's climate change resilience.
