Climb the Beanstalk will take you on a journey that is profound, simple, funny, serious, deep and thought-provoking. These poetic writings span the gamut of subjects-from Christian to macabre to everyday life and all places in- between. The wide variety of topics is a reflection of the life and struggles of a gifted writer dealing with OCD and bi-polar disorder. Although this is not a biography, after reading the book you will feel like you know Shane in all depth, humor, and brilliance. After taking the roller coaster ride through his poetry you will better understand the bi-polar mind - for much of this book is a journey that Shane Bailey lived and these are places that he has been. As much as possible, the writing has been kept in its original condition, as Shane like to stretch the boundaries of "poetic license". His excessive use of capitalization, ellipses, and an occasional made -up word, add interest and intrigue to what is often an unconventional writing style.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Shane Bailey was born and raised in Forth Smith, Arkansas where he worked as a free-lance musician, a studio drum instructor and was a member of the worship team where he attended church. He became a professional drummer at age 13 and during his career, played in several area bands and for many regional events. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Arkansas-Forth Smith where his father is director of jazz studies and his mother is the staff piano accompanist. Shane began writing poetry and composing music around the age of 16 when he was struggling with OCD and bi- polar disorder, conditions he battled for the last 10 years of his life. He passed away suddenly on June 15,2013 at the age of 25. The death was ruled accidental with the cause uncertain. His life was a series of ups and downs, brilliance, despair, joy, disappointment, euphoria, depression, laughter ,tears, and other emotions. Through all life's peaks and valleys,Shane's Christian foundation remained intact. His connection to God was strongest in the months before his passing. Shane's GREATEST DREAM was that he would touch the world with his words.
