The major socio-cultural determinant associated with malnutrition were lack of knowledge and awareness in caregivers regarding appropriate feeding practices in form of exclusive breastfeeding (below 6 months age) with timely and proper weaning pattern (above 6 months), child nutrition, and appropriate age immunization. Poor socio-economic status, overcrowded and unhygienic living conditions, and low education level were also associated with malnutrition in our study children.
