He continues to be active clinically, teach, and conduct research in clinical cardiovascular physiology and is a busy international speaker. DR. BENUMOF is a world-renowned expert on pulmonary physiology, anesthesia for thoracic surgery, airway management, and obstructive sleep apnea. In recognition of his teaching, he has received numerous awards, most recently the 2010 Teaching Recognition Award Recipient for Achievement in Education from the International Anesthesia Research Society. Dr. Benumof has been an Invited speaker at more than 300 national and international meetings. In addition to being an honorary fellow of the Faculty of Anaesthetists of Australia, he was elected lifetime honorary member of the Society for Airway Management.
