In this competitive world, the importance of English language is unquestionable as it is a lingua- franca for global communication and education. The responsibility of English language teachers is, therefore, quite prominent in preparing the new generation for this fierce competition. In order to carry out this responsibility, teachers of English as a Foreign Language should take part in an on going professional development activities. In this regard, the current work tried to explore the role of clinical supervision process in promoting in-service EFL teachers' professional development. After carefully observing,video recording, analyzing, and interpreting classroom practices of selected EFL teachers, the writer tried to confirm the role of clinical supervision intervention in helping EFL teachers to make reflection on their classroom practices with the help of an experienced professional observer. Further more, the writer tried to show us that teachers are professionals who need help if given friendly. Therefore,clinical supervision intervention is important in enhancing the professional competence of EFL teachers which in turn improves the students language use.
