Allergic Rhinitis is a symptomatic disorder of the nose induced after allergen exposure by IgE-mediated inflammation of the membranes lining the nose. This study assesses the scope & limitations of homoeopathic treatment in Chronic Allergic Rhinitis with the help of Kent's Repertory. Efficacy of a group of medinicines has been studied here applying on subjects of various socio-economic strata, age and sex. This work also investigates the miasmatic background of the disease. Results are verified adopting appropriate statistical method and signify the effectiveness of homoeopathic treatment. Study shows better results for younger age group and for short duration illness. It is also observed that patients virgin to homoeopathic treatment have better prognosis than the patients firstly treated with allopathic medicine. Sulphur & Phosphorus are found to be most frequently matching medicines, and the most useful potency is 50 millisimal. This study finally reiterates the importance of holistic approach and individualistic concept in the treatment of Chronic Allergic Rhinitis, homoeopathically.
