Karl Berger, a native of Germany is a practicing pediatrician in Johnstown, PA near Pittsburgh. He is an active member of the Loyalhanna Writers Association and has been published in the Loyalhanna Review.This is the first of his three novels which in different ways deal with the disturbing and tragic role of Germany in the 20th century's history.
