With overwhelming heavy population the demand of improve milk and meat is increasing day by day. Thus GH gene has been cloned from a number of species in different vectors and is expressed under different conditions. Due to great importance of goat as milking and meat animal in Pakistan, a recombinant plasmid for GH as a supplement agent was developed. Caprine breed; beetal cDNA cloned in T/A vector, sequenced, and sub-cloned in pND mammalian expression vectors which was then used to transform E.coli strain B10.This plasmid was then used to transfect Vero cells for expression studies using calcium chloride transfection method which was checked by dot blot technique. The results of in vitro culture showed that recombinant plasmid was expressed and have potential to be used as supplement agent in particular animal for increase meat and milk output. Thereafter, the bioactivity of these cloned cGH cDNA was carried out in mouse. Based on the results of this study, it is concluded thatrecombinant plasmid of GH can be used as DNA therapeutic rather than protein therapeutic for increase in meat production and may also be for milk production.
