"De'Zyre (pronounced Desire) Williams is a seven-year-old second grader and a former native of Lewiston-Woodville, North Carolina. De'Zyre enjoys spending her time writing, reading, martial arts training, ballet practice, gymnastics training, cuddling with her puppy, and spending time with her mother, stepfather, and the rest of her family. Close Friends is a children's book series that teaches children the importance of positive friendships and is based on her own true life experiences. De'Zyre was inspired to write children's books to encourage children of all ages to share her passion for reading and to develop positive social skills. De'Zyre has been featured in several media outlets ranging from local newspapers, magazines, and the WITN television news to radio interviews with radio personality Clarke Jones at 101.9 KISS FM; POWER 95.5 with radio personality D-Train; and 98.5 DA BIG DAWG with radio personality Louie The Doggie Diva.
