Randolph R. Croxton, a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), was accorded this honor in recognition of his advancement of Architecture as an integration of built and natural (biological) systems. Recipient of the AIA National Honor Award, the profession's highest award for Design Excellence, Mr. Croxton is twice the recipient of the National Leadership Award of the U.S. Green Building Council for having established the principles of Green/Sustainable Architecture in America. In 1994 Mr. Croxton co-authored Audubon House, on his firm's work and sustainability design methods for the Audubon Headquarters in New York City, and, in the same year, authored the first two federal (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Innovation Grants for Green Building Guidelines. In 2015, Mr. Croxton authored A Convergence of Two Minds: Origins of Self-awareness and Identity. Mr. Croxton taught for seventeen years (1995 to 2012) in the Harvard Graduate School of Design's Executive Education Program: A Symposium on Architecture and Sustainability.
