The specific objectives were To present the historical outline of the coaching profession, highlighting the main market niches; To identify the profile and area of activity of these coaching professionals in Brazil; and To find out how the coaching professional works in the Cariri Metropolitan Region - MRC. A qualitative methodology was used, using the techniques of a bibliographical survey and a structured interview.

Ladislau da Silva Fernandes has a degree in Economics and a postgraduate qualification (lato sensu) in Financial Management and Business Consultancy from the Universidade Regional do Cariri - URCA. He is the author of several scientific articles and co-author of the book Escassez de Recursos Hídricos e Grandes Projetos Econômicos no Nordeste.
