The book mainly compares the viscose fibre properties with cotton and highlights its poor strength at wet condition. There is an increasing global lack of cotton. Based on the structural similarities and property profiles regenerated cellulose fibers could be an alternative to cotton in certain applications, one such application is bed linen. The aim of this book is to improve that property flaw by chemical finishes. Thereby fabrics from regenerated cellulose fibers could be a feasible alternative to cotton.
