In a remote Indian village called Parnapur, where poverty reigns but solidarity is a precious treasure, a young boy named Lashmy becomes the symbol of a tragic and universal struggle. Suffering from a respiratory disease, he agrees, with his mother's blessing, to take part in a clinical trial organized by a powerful pharmaceutical company, Nexa Pharmaceuticals, in exchange for meager financial compensation. This choice, motivated by desperation and a lack of alternatives, leads to devastating side effects, not only for Lashmy but also for other villagers. Faced with the indifference of the local authorities and the ruthless mechanisms of profit, the community discovers the extent of the exploitation of which it is the victim: lives sacrificed for low-cost tests, hidden behind illegible contracts and empty promises.
