Autorenporträt
A retired registered nurse, Kim Layson Ambrose grew up in a small town in rural Alabama. Throughout her life, she has enjoyed a wide range of social gatherings, from cocktail parties and fancy wedding receptions to backyard festivities with coolers full of beer. When her mother became ill, she returned to her roots and opened a liquor store with her husband. Ambrose quickly realized that her customers wanted to learn how to make simple cocktails-thus Cocktails in a Measuring Cup came to life. Married with two daughters, Ambrose recently realized she prefers sipping cocktails on her front porch with friends to occasions requiring a cocktail dress and high heels-and all the better if she's sipping from a Mason jar.
