Gabrielle Stewart is a high school senior who will graduate with the Science & Technology distinction. She simultaneously takes college courses. She will major in computer science at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a full academic scholarship and enrollment in the Honors program. Gabrielle is a recipient of the $40,000 Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship which brings her scholarship offer total to $389,000. Gabrielle is the president of two chapters of the National Society of Black Engineers Jr. and an AP Scholar. Very active in her school community, she is the head of the National Honor Society's In-School Committee and an engaged participant in several clubs, including Girls Who Code, International Thespian Society, and the Theatre Department. The senior class voted her "Most Likely to Become President." Gabrielle desires to inspire youth to pursue STEM courses and careers. To that end, she hosted STEM games for underprivileged youth at the Women of Color in STEM conference in Detroit, MI. She is also the author of That Star Spangled Banner: The War, the Flag, and the National Anthem, written when she was just ten years old. Gabrielle is a resident of Mitchellville, MD.
