Steven Turner was born in Cambridge, England on 14th March 1955. He has two sisters, Anne and Amanda. Steve attended Netherhall Secondary Modern School in Cambridge. At 17, he joined the Royal Navy, and travelled the world, visiting 23 countries. At 23, he left the military to attend a City & Guilds Traditional Upholstery Course at The London College of Furniture, in Whitechapel, gaining a pass/credit. He then worked in London and Kent as an upholsterer, gaining a lot of experience. Then in 1980, he joined his family firm in Furniture Restoration. Steve has three children. Steve also has six grandchildren. In 1984, he left the family firm and took a job in Marshall Aerospace, in Cambridge Airport, England, as a trimmer/upholsterer. He worked there for 27 years. In 2009, Steve met his childhood sweetheart, Jill. In 2012, they were married. Since 1999 he has written poetry in order to explore psychological aspects of his life. During that time, he joined a spiritual group and became a healer, plus training as a biodynamic massage therapist, Reiki healer, and counsellor. The authors who influenced and inspired him are Carl Jung, George King, James Redfield, Brandon Bays, Rhonda Byrne, and Louise L. Hay.
