Alan originally trained as a medical doctor and has a first-class degree in Psychology and a PhD in immunology. He is the co-founder and CEO of Complete, a leadership consultancy advising different types of businesses from innovative tech start-ups to FTSE 100 giants on how to grow their revenues, transform their strategy, step change their leadership capability, develop their culture, modernize their D&I agenda as well as significantly improve the mental health of their employees. A disruptive thinker and modern business innovator, Alan takes complex global concepts from multiple market sectors, integrates his own ideas with the wisdom of the crowd to create novel answers to complex challenges. In addition to working with executive teams and organisations, Alan also worked with the GB squad prior to the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics and is a visiting Professor in Business at Kingston University, London. Alan has appeared extensively on TV and radio including as the sole expert on a BBC1 series 'Temper your Temper' seen by 2 million viewers. He has also been a guest of Radio 4's Today show, Radio 2's Jeremy Vine's show as well as many local and global media outlets. He is an inspiring and entertaining keynote and his TEDx lectures have attracted over 6 million views. He has written ten books on a range of topics from leadership to how to solve the world's toughest problems. Alan is based in the UK with his wife and he has four grown up sons.
