Understanding the power of representation, she was motivated to share with the world the stories of excellence, vibrancy, and self-determination that she has witnessed firsthand from the unified community of scholars, staff, and families of Purpose Prep. By creating powerful connections between them and the dynamic characters in her stories, she is excited to ignite even more joy for reading for children. Claudia has worked for several nonprofit organizations in the field of social work. She studied at Savannah State University where she earned a master's degree in social work. She is a mother, grandmother, and most recently, a great-grandmother, and enjoys traveling with her beloved husband, Lawrence, family, and friends.
