It is found in southern Spain. The wingspan is 9.5-11.5 mm.The larvae feed on Salsola vermiculata. Young larvae feed on the infructescence. Later, they feed on the fruit. They create a trivalved case of 6-7 mm long with a mouth angle of 80-85°. A moth is an insect closely related to the butterfly, both being of the order Lepidoptera. Moths form the majority of this order; there are thought to be 150,000 to 250,000 different species of moth (about ten times the number of species of butterfly), with thousands of species yet to be described.
