Obteve o Mestrado em Estudos de Desenvolvimento na Universidade de Adis Abeba e o Doutoramento em Agri-Economia na Universidade Haramaya. Publicou mais de 20 artigos em revistas de renome. Ensina estudantes de PhD e MA em universidades etíopes e aconselhou mais de 30 estudantes.
