The third book in UEA PhD graduate and Yeovil Prize shortlisted finalist Sophia Worden's Valerian Trilogy has been taken over by Queen Morgana's television show, 'Collodian Star.' Now the trilogy's unruly bunch of knights, kings, princesses, archivists, nuns, dwarves, fairies, vampires and robots must star in and watch the harvested memories of the queen's family, friends and enemies. Valerian is now dystopian, and Avalon is dominated by the purgatorial Collodian, where Celestine Memory Harvester, Tallulah Mae Jackson, and our old friend, Ambassador Guinan Guineafowl, hatch plots and counterplots. Nevertheless, hopes run high that Queen Morgana will fall asleep, oh, for at least a hundred years or so, that the Sisters of Valerian, led by her renegade granddaughter, Rose Thorn, will find the missing Cylinders of Memory, and that, under Captain De Lys's command, the starship Joyous Gard will finally achieve its mission, a new home planet. Meanwhile, Sophia, the Robot girl must learn that dominion over all doesn't mean blowing up the toaster, whilst Violetta Valhallah, no longer immortal, must contend with the big Three-O, and a new rival, the enigmatic Lady Elridge. Though Big Sister and her sidekicks are always watching you, the dwarves will throw a leaving party to end all parties, the kumquats will be plentiful, the ale will flow and flow, and you may just end up agreeing, 'There's no-where you'd rather be than the Collodian.'
