Jeremy moved to Colorado when he was 18 and he struggled deeply with depression, anxiety, and suicide contemplation following high school. He lost his sense of purpose and meaning and struggled to find himself in his latter adolescence. The most meaningful aspect of life that he found when he moved to Colorado was nature. The wilderness would eventually help Jeremy through the dark times of his life that included losing a friend to cancer, breaking his back, almost dying from the subsequent surgery complications, as well as several other transformative struggles that he faced in early adulthood. He fought through the years of darkness and finally began to conceptualize life, meaning, and purpose in ways that could bring light to other people's lives.Jeremy's artistic journey began at the age of 20 when he started drawing superheroes, which progressed into painting the following year. He produced his first canvas the week following his back surgery and near death experience in 2007. He produced over 100 works of art and donated 65 drawings and paintings to children's hospitals all over the southwest United States.Jeremy did not pick up a camera until he was 30 years old in 2016. He had just moved back to Colorado and one of his childhood friends urged him to pick up a dSLR camera for all of his nature adventures. Jeremy eventually gave in, picked up a camera, and immediately became obsessed with photography. His love for nature and passion for art were finally able to combine for him to create beautiful nature photography. All the years Jeremy spent in the darkness quickly turned to light as he started taking and sharing photos of his experiences. He began to intertwine stories of the pain and suffering he dealt with over the years as the sharing became cathartic for his soul. Jeremy has been published worldwide and has won a number of awards over the years, showing in over 100 juried galleries, exhibitions, and festivals since September of 2019. His first book publication "Intimate Isolation: A Photographic Journey Through Nature" was published in March of 2022.
