Colorectal cancer is a major health problem worldwide, in Cuba it ranks fourth in terms of incidence of malignant diseases. Current strategies focus on the importance of early diagnosis, minimally invasive, simple execution and follow-up, linking techniques of Eastern and Western medicine. A prospective longitudinal descriptive study was carried out in the Santo Domingo health area, the sample was made up of 73 patients who presented occult blood in feces in the period 2019-2020, with the aim of determining the correspondence between the appearance of blood hidden in feces, the painful sensitivity of the key acupuncture points and the diagnosis of colorectal cancer, as main results it was found that there was no difference in the behavior of the sexes, however the group over 50 years prevailed, coinciding with the patients who were indicated for the test complying with the national program for the Fight against Cancer. Age over 50 years, predisposing diet and smoking were the most frequent risk factors.
