The education of a people depends on the nature of the education they receive, on their mental and physical health, on their awareness of the importance of information and its quality. Today, the most educated countries are the first to obtain and manipulate scientific, technological and artistic information. These countries are the most peaceful, even the most developed. Thus, the work of associations must have as its mission: the correction of preconceived ideas and the sensitization of families, by participating in their training and their awareness. Fighting illiteracy in the most remote corners of the world must be a primary objective. Without a national, common public school, it is difficult to talk about equal opportunities. To fight against school dropout, we must above all eliminate its causes. We have to uproot it for good, by studying the root causes of the problem and all its facets, and not look for half-solutions, which remain lame or limited. As long as insecurity, poverty, ignorance, injustice, inequality and prejudice exist, there will always be children who drop out of school.
