His wife, Aimee, was killed by a drunk driver. Deciding there is nothing left for him in England, George buys an old farmhouse in Spain. He meets the attractive Maria, and her not so agreeable papa, Vincente. He settles down to a new way of life, but not forgetting his lovely Aimee. Someone, however, is not forgetting him. Oliver Barnes of Barnes & Barnes International Bankers, whom George worked for. World Music is paramount in George's life, and he sets about rediscovering these senses once more, and enjoying adventures along the way, which all culminate on Columbus DayHinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
I started writing my first novel, Columbus Day, six years ago, with the insane idea of supplementing my pension. I now know that was a pipe-dream, but I have learnt a lot along the way on this rocky road called publishing. I live with my wife Carol, in Surrey, England, and we have two wonderful daughters, Nicole and Lindsay and two gorgeous granddaughters. My interests include, photography, cooking, fishing, travelling and of course world music. Music is a key factor in Columbus Day, and I have tried to put over a point of view that there are many forms of music to enjoy - not just 'mainstream pop' and 'commercially produced' music. I have tried to include as much research as possible, visiting Spain on several occasions, including the WOMAD festival in Caceres, Spain, twice. Check-out my website www.davidbalaam-books.co.uk for all the latest info on by books, and details of my second novel, The Letter, and my third novel, Nothing is Sacrosanct, which is available in paperback as well as e-reader format. I have started writing a children's book and hope to publish a non-fiction work around photography later this year (2106)
