HIV/AIDS among women spreads in an environment characterized by power imbalances, gender inequalities and failure of economic development. Tropical Africa has been worst hit given its past colonial and post-colonial history. These and other factors contributed to some of the women been infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. This book covers past history and current situations that caused women to be vulnerable to HIV infections. The church has to employ gender sensitive approach in combating the spread of HIV/AIDS. The church theology has to be revised to accommodate women. Theological education that prepares ministers for church and other related institutions has to be gender balanced. The church needs to use its human and material resources to empower HIV positive women economically so that they are able to live healthier life for them combating the virus effectively.
