Autorenporträt
JOYCE M. SHORT is a leading expert on romance scams and sexual assault by fraud. She's appeared both on tv and radio, and journalists often seek her opinions. But one of her proudest moments was hearing that a Federal Prosecutor referred to her blog, http: //www.StopRapeByFraud.com, in the indictment to put a "serial rapist," with over 30 victims, behind bars. Ms. Short lives in New York City where she's a residential Real Estate Broker. Her passion for helping to build character in developing children has led her to run a free tennis program for the youngsters in her community for 28 years. She also has extensive background in the field of finance including positions as a Corporate Bond Trader with Salomon Brothers, and as the Global Director of Faculty for the New York Institute of Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of the "Financial Times." Her previous book, "Carnal Abuse by Deceit, How a Predator's Lies Became Rape." tells the story of the romance scam that happened to her, and launched her interest in bringing romance scams to a screeching halt!
