The present book entitled "Studies on combining ability and heterosis for yield and quality parameters in Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.)" was conducted in the Research cum Instructional Farm, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Indira Gandhi Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Raipur (Chhattisgarh) India, during Rabi 2012-13 with the objectives to estimation of heterosis & inbreeding depression, estimation of combining ability analysis and identification of GMS and TGMS lines through morphological characters and MAS. The experimental material consisted of seven parents, twelve F1's and twelve F2's populations studied for 14 quantitative traits. ISSR and SSR markers were applied for genetic diversity and hybridity test. ISSR marker UBC-834 and SSR marker SES-143 was found for identification of both the GMS line (MMS-white and MSV-10-5-1). For TGMS line (TMS-3-6-7-9) SSR marker SES-33 was found for identification. The hybridity test from both the primers (ISSR and SSR) confirms the truthfulness of hybrids MMS-white X RVS-20121-3, MSV-10-5-1 X GMU 1769, TMS-3-6-7-9 X GMU 1303 and MSV-10-5-1 X RVS-2012-13.

Publicou 16 artigos de investigação em revistas nacionais e internacionais e é membro da Coach Bihar Association for ancient of Agricultural sciences (COBACAS), West Bengal.
